Why did we choose a base of oatmeal flour, pea protein isolate, chicory fiber, MCT fats and flaxseed? Well, all of these foods are natural and highly nutritious! All are high in fiber, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. They contribute to a healthy gut, a long feeling of satiety and they maintain blood sugar levels.

Oatmeal is high in dietary fiber, important vitamins, minerals andantioxidants. It also contains more protein than most other grains.

What makes oatmeal so special are the beta-glucans. These fibers have a cholesterol-lowering effect and keep you feeling full longer. They work like a sponge. They absorb liquid so that the fibers expand and the body needs more time to digest them. In addition, oatmeal contains a fair amount of complex carbohydrates, but little sugar. Therefore, it fits in with foods with a low glycemic index. This indicates how quickly carbohydrates are converted into glucose in your body. The higher the glycemic index, the faster your bloodsugar rises.

Pea protein isolate is the most suitable vegan protein source. It contains a complete amino acid profile and it is rich in BCAAs (important for muscle recovery). In addition, it keeps you feeling full, but without the bloating and/or abdominal cramps. Contrary to many animal proteins (e.g. whey protein), pea protein isolate does not cause flatulence.Finally, it also contains numerous vitamins and minerals, trace elements and fiber.

MCT fats, or medium chain triglycerides, are fats that are more readily available as energy and less stored as fat in the body. Ideal right?! In addition, MCT fats also provide a longer feeling of satiety and produce less waste.

Chicory fibers are very high quality dietary fibers. They aid digestion, keep your blood sugar stable and could potentially increase the absorption of minerals in your bowels as a prebiotic fiber.

Last but not least, our blends also contain flaxseed. This tiny seed promotes digestion, is a source of fiber and alpha linolenic acid (omega 3 fatty acid). This makes them a powerful anti-inflammatory. They boost your immune system, are good for your brain, lower your bad cholesterol and your blood pressure.
