Sparkling mocktail for the holiday season
Are you all set for the holidays? With this festive and healthy mocktail you will have an original aperitif ready in no time. The ginger shot not only makes it delicious, it also gives you a healthy boost to start the year off right!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp water
3 sprigs of rosemary, plus 1 extra for decoration
Cranberry juice (100% cranberries, unsweetened)
Ginger Morning Shot
Ice cubes
Frozen cranberries (optional)
Sparkling water
Make the syrup:
Add the maple syrup, 3 tbsp. water and the rosemary sprigs to a saucepan. Place on the stove to warm up; no boiling is necessary. Once thoroughly warm, turn off the heat and place a lid on the pan.
Let stand for 25 to 30 minutes to allow the aroma of the rosemary to soak into the syrup.
When the rosemary is well absorbed, remove the sprigs. You won't need these anymore.
Compose your mocktail (quantities per glass):
Pour 40ml of syrup into your glass. Mix 1 scoop of Ginger Morning Shot into 2 tbsp / 60ml cranberry juice and add to the glass. Add some ice cubes and optional frozen cranberries. Dilute the mixture with sparkling water.
Stir briefly and finish with a sprig of rosemary.
Cheers!
Tip: You can, of course, make this in advance in a larger quantity. Adjust the quantities to the number of glasses you want to serve. Always stir briefly when you pour a glass so that the flavors can mix well.
